The deeper the grounding, the more expansive one’s energy can become.  Ah-Ha!!

The more you see yourself as divine, the less fretting you do.  Ah-Ha!!

Deeper Dive

I had heard the name ‘Hovenweep’ in my mind and heart fairly regularly over the past several months. When we found our path nearing this area, I knew we needed to include this national monument in our journey. As we neared in physical proximity over the past week, the name frequented my inner knowing more and more.  Hovenweep is a national monument inside the recently designated Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, a huge area that contains many sacred sites, is now protected.  The aptly named area indeed is full of canyons and ancient energies.  Much of this area is difficult to traverse due to lack of roads, but that keeps it pristine. And this adds to the protection of the lands, sacred sites, and mysteries.

Hovenweep is an undeveloped monument with a couple roads leading to a few trailheads.  It is accessible via a 15-mile dirt road with some wash-outs and large rocks. We journeyed there to pay homage, meet the land spirits, and see what assistance I might provide.

Upon arrival at the Horseshoe & Hackberry trailhead, we did our usual process of making an offering and asking permission to enter.  Permission granted.  This trail was an easy hike of about one mile out and back.  Along the way were small dwellings and towers of rock as well as some small cliff dwellings.  As we started our hike, I suggested that Steve go at his own pace because I felt like taking it slow, feeling the energy, and stopping frequently.  Early on the walk, I stopped to meditate.  I felt the land was asleep but ready to awaken.  It felt ready for a rebirth process.  I brought down the divine energy as a blessing, honoring this land and its guardians.  During the process, I talked to the spirits letting them know that if they are ready, they may awaken safely for Earth is ascending and the 4,000+ years of suffering is over.  Of course, they have a choice, and I am here simply to honor and bless whatever choice they make.

After feeling the energetic blessing was complete, I again continued my slow, meandering walk.  I felt an energy approach me in a respectful manner.  He was a spirit guardian of this land.  He walked with me, and we chatted.  He knew I was coming (that’s why I’d been hearing “Hovenweep” for months.). He said they were preparing for my energy and for the new beginning I was bringing.  He was grateful for my presence, and I was humbled to be of service.  I thought about the Lightworkers that often come with the divine spirals I work with.  I asked him if he’s okay with Lightworkers coming to assist.  He seemed amused at my silly question and simply said “they’re already here.”  He asked if I am human.  I said yes, but that I am also growing more aware of my divinity.  He seemed to understand.  He said he’d been human many lifetimes as well.  Then he added that he’d always felt a calling to be a guardian of a special area.

As we walked, my small self was bombarding me with relentless criticisms for during this time period, my small self happened to be very active.  We walked in silence a long time.  I had a million random thoughts and silly fears in that amount of time.  Finally he said “you are human, you certainly fret a lot!”  I thought fret was an odd word for a guardian to use, but I guess they use terminology from their own past lives. Nonetheless, I agreed.  He made a gentle comment about how I should know my divine self better because then I would no longer fret.  I felt him infuse my energy field with a sense of knowing.  I thanked him for his kindness.

We had reached the far end of the trail where I found Steve.  The guardian drifted further from me so as not to interfere with me and Steve.  As we walked the trail back to the truck, Steve again went ahead, and I purposely kept a pleasant distance between us.

Though the guardian spirit did not again approach me, I felt his energy and that of other spirits wrap around me showing me great respect. I felt very, very blessed.  I thought about his words: “if you know your divine self better, you will no longer fret.” This boosted my desire to be divine, to stand in my power, to be strong, and to be in my sovereign authority.  I found myself stand taller and grow more sure-footed.  I naturally sent energy deep down to anchor myself within my own space, building my reserves with my new-found willpower.  As I anchored deep, I felt my energy rise from chest level to forehead.  I felt the guardian spirit observe with approval. I felt my energetic body grow stronger.  I again purposely sent energy down, down, down deep to anchor myself further, to deeply ground myself.  As I did so, I felt my energy going from my heart center up and out well above my head this time.  I felt a bit light-headed because of it so I grounded even more deeply.

The guardian did no interfere, but I felt him nearby.  I felt him encouraging me to know my divine self, to stand firmly in my power as a sovereign being, and to BE the powerful entity that I am (and every human is.) I was amazed!  It was such an incredible feeling to see how much more expansive my energy become the more I grounded myself.  Yet, it made complete sense.  The stronger the anchor and broader the grounding cord, the higher and more expansive one can become.  Like a tree with deep roots and broad trunk, it reaches high into the sky with its energetic field that we call branches.

By the time I reached Caribou (our truck), I felt my personal spiral firmly anchored deep into the Cosmos and expanding many feet out and high above my head. I felt very tall and majestic.  It was a great feeling! Before departing, I turned back to the trail and said “until we meet again,” to the guardian spirit and to all the other spirits of that land. I blew them a kiss and honored them with the namaste bow. I had blessed them with the spiral of energy, and they had repaid me ten-fold.  The Universe is an amazing place!

Conclusion

If you visit Hovenweep, please do so with great respect for the humans who walked there before you and for the spirits that currently occupy this sacred place.

If one slows down and simply listens with their heart, one can become truly blessed.

When one grounds intensely, one’s energy field will respond by building strongly upon that foundation.
