Wisdom
Ah-Ha!! Yes, the mystical and magical realms do exist. They are just as real as our 3-D material world. If you questiontheir existence, they disappear. Keep faith and know they are just on the other side of the very thin veil that separates the realms. Veils are lifted by connecting to our inner knowing, higher self.
Deeper Dive
Occasionally I find myself in a cycle of questioning whether the other realms really exist. As shamanic mentor, Jose Stevens, warns the moment you question, (snap of the fingers) it disappears. Yes, I find this to be true. The more I allow the mystical and magical realms to exist, the more I see, feel, and know their existence. And the moment that I allow small self to doubt, all becomes a solid material world again.
Questioning from Small Self
Today my small self insisted on questioning reality: “how do you know it’s true?” Experiencing this questioning cycle a thousand times, today I chose a different response. Rather than trying to resist the questions, I detached and neutrally observed. I was able to see myself as separate from small self, and therefore it no longer felt like medoing all the questioning.
As I observed, small self ranted about needing to be practical and face the facts. It explained that I cannot prove any of it, it is my imagination. As I became more detached, small self became more insistent. We spiraled in this cycle for a time. Finally, small self became quieter. It had exhausted its energy. I set an intention that by observing whenever this questioning cycle surfaced, I will eventually detach completely and move into a constant state of knowing.
Flat 3-D World
Of course, any time we question, the mystical and magical realms disappear; even when from small self does the questioning. So, today my world became flat. I was squarely back in the solid 3-D material world. Rather than despair as I would have in the past, I continued to observe. I trusted that my higher self was still there guiding and assisting me even though I was unable to sense it. And I trusted that after the questioning cycle subsided, the other realms would return to my knowing.
Continuing to Trust
Early this morning, before the questioning, my intuition suggested I go to the nearby dam. Though I was squarely in the flat 3-D world, I decided to continue following my intuition’s earlier suggestion. “That’s the fastest way to get reconnected,” I thought. Heading towards the dam unsure of where I was going, I trusted that the perfect location would present itself.
I found a small road that ended at the dam maintenance facility. And there appeared a public parking lot. A sign announced that the city of Corpus Christi turned this area into a wildlife sanctuary complete with mowed walking trails. “Perfect,” I thought. “Thank you, Corpus Christi and thank you Universe!” It felt like I was in the right place.
With no map of these trails, I set out on blind trust. I called to my support team “I trust I am 100% safe 100% of the time. I trust I will be guided where I am supposed to go and back to the truck again.” As we ventured, many trails branched off, and we walked where I felt guided. “Just like blindly trusting my inner guidance while navigating my own Spirit path,” I thought. Soon I saw a huge yellow sign that felt like a sign: To River. So off we went in that direction. In a short distance the trees began to overhung the path. We had entered a magical realm.
Magical Grandmother Tree
The path took on a new feel, and it lookedmagical. I slowed my pace and moved into reverence. The huge vines weaved in and out of the tree tops, crystal-energy weavers in their own right. Moss, in its Winter state of dusty green, draped from tree branches like faery swings. The air was still as it carried the melody of water splashing over the nearby dam. Then I saw her and stopped in my tracks with a huge intake of breath. “Oh my, you are magnificent!” I said out loud to no one and to everyone. I stood and took in the beautiful view of the magical grandmother oak tree. I added “you are why I came.”
I had come to make her acquaintance, spend time here, and bless her with my loving intentions. I asked permission to approach her. Then, I walked off the path to reach her vast trunk. Upon her trunk, I placed an offering of an Arkansas crystal above a knot that looked like an entry to another world. I also sprinkled crystal infused water from Arkansas. Then I laid my hands upon her ancient trunk thinking “hello. Blessings. Do you have any wisdom to share with me today?”
The more time I spent with her, the more awakened my senses became. I gratefully welcomed back the connection to my higher self. As I stood with hands upon her gracefully leaning trunk, her bark took on the appearance of dragon skin. The vines with their million root tendrils became her muscles. I took on a knowing that this magnificent tree was an ancient being who anchors beauty and grace here along the river. She is also an eco-system all unto herself; the oak being, vines, mosses, embedded dragon, and the magical kingdom beings. Magic all around; above, upon the Earth, and below.
I spent a great deal of time with her and her kingdom. I asked permission to take her picture for this blog, and she seemed to agree. As we walked away, my dog picked up and gave to me a large section of moss that had recently fallen from her branches. A ‘thank you’ departing gift from the magical tree. I replied: “Thank you. Until we meet again.” Filled with peaceful contentment, we headed back to the truck.
Conclusion
If one’s inner guidance disappears, keep faith that it is very near. Watch one’s natural environment for clues that will assist in reconnecting. Trust.
