Introduction
This Full Moon Ceremony celebrates each of us as sovereign and free.
In both the signs of Leo and Virgo, this is a unique Full Moon. Blessed to have Leo carry a ‘Love Thyself Focus’ into the ceremony and Virgo carry a ‘steadfast sovereignty’ out of the ceremony.
Details
A few days prior to this ceremony, I was taking a walk along the Rio Grande when I saw a number of fairly large feathers and some small. They were in perfect condition. It felt like they were placed there for me to find. I asked permission to take them; granted. I gently picked them up, and secured them in my backpack.
Later, I researched these amazing striped feathers that have white tips. I was thrilled to learn they are Whip Poorwill. We had been hearing their beautiful song very regularly during our stay in this area. Then I read about their medicine and was amazed at the perfection of how well it fits into Full Moon energetics.
In the video (embedded below), I explain more of the story of the Whip Poorwill and how its medicine is in perfect timing for this ceremony. A hint: Is humanity coming out of hibernation?
On another walk, this time with hubby, we were very near where we conducted the First Qtr Moon Ceremony. There, on the beach of the river, I found a bell chime. Again, I immediately knew that it was a gift for me to incorporate into the Full Moon Ceremony.
Human Lila never knows how the ceremonies will turn out. I keep myself open to whatever gifts and message present themselves. All orchestrated from the Spirit Realms, the ceremonies seemingly build themself. And its becoming quite fun to trust and see how it all comes together.
Musical Meditation
One such example of simply trusting the flow is the musical meditation that occurred in this ceremony. I knew to bring rattle and I knew some other ‘instrument’ would accompany. Initially I thought a salt shaker perhaps or some such for a soft accompaniment. Then I found the bell chime and knew that was the rattle’s accompaniment.
In the flow of things while conducting the ceremony, the musical meditation started. And then I began to sing. I was very surprised when a spontaneous icaro (song) surfaced for me to sing along with the instruments. I thought “am I coordinated enough to do this?” And had a slight fear of “how do I say the words in rhythm! ?” But, again, I trusted and it all seemed to flow and work out beautifully. Let me know what you think.
All in all, the musical meditation provides the perfect joy-filled combination of sounds to break up the calcification within us. Set yourself free to expand and fill your heart with joy.
And, an added special treat: I dubbed in the song of the Whip Poorwill as we pause to integrate the lively meditation.
Location
Initially, I thought I would conduct this Full Moon Ceremony in the same park where I had done First Quarter Moon Ceremony. Perhaps finding a slightly different location in the park. However, a few days prior to the ceremony, I woke with an image in my head of another location about an hour’s drive away. Looking at Google Maps, I found the image: an estuary with a county park along its shores near the town of Zapata, Texas. Immediately, I knew that was where we needed to go and exactly which area on the water to setup for ceremony.
We visited the county park the day prior to ceremony so we could get a feel for the place, do energy work, and locate the ceremony spot. We walked the surprisingly big area for many hours and settled on a ceremony spot that was different than I had initially thought (when I had looked initially at the Google Maps). Our selected spot was up high on a plateau overlooking the water.
Ceremony day, we went back to that high, flat plateau. However, the wind was very strong there. Too strong to setup ceremony. So, we set out on a walk and located a place tucked out of the wind…. and it was exactly the spot I had initially thought (when I had looked initially at the Google Maps). I guess the Spirit Realms wanted me at this particular spot, and wind assisted in guiding me there.
All in all, I was happy to have followed the Divine Guidance for all the obvious reasons. As a result, we were blessed with calm breeze and sunshine. We were joined by water birds, a Crested Caracara, lots of butterflies, and a bee’s introduction during the musical meditation.
One never knows who might show up and what might occur in these adlib ceremonies. In addition to the material world’s contributions mentioned above, I sense a large entourage of Light Beings had assembled and encircled the sacred space of the ceremony. I am being told that these ceremonies are being conducted for the benefit of more than those of us in human form. I am humbled to consider this. And this encourages me to open my heart to conducting the very best ceremony I can.
